ISTANBUL - Turkish police arrested six Chechens in Turkish metropolis of Istanbul on Tuesday on charges that they were collecting information on bomb design and production.
The Anti-Terror Department stated that many electronic devices, two laptops, CDs and a notebook which included information about bomb design and systems were confiscated in the operation.
The detainees told police that they had entered Turkey illegally, but were not involved in any illegal act, and they were planning to take those equipments to Chechnya.
