Tuzmen Says Turkey Ranked Fifth In World In 2004

ANKARA - State Minister Kursad Tuzmen said on Tuesday that Turkey was ranked fifth in the world, in respect of 2004 export increase and ranked third among countries exporting more than 50 billion dollars.
Tuzmen also noted that the share of Turkey in world trade exceeded 1 percent in 2004 for the first time.
Issuing a statement about the World Trade Organization's 2004 report, Tuzmen said that Turkey's exports increased significantly in 2004.
He said that Turkey started to move up in the list of countries which exported the most and its export volume reached 62.8 billion dollars in 2004. He added that Turkey was ranked third after China and Russia among countries whose exports exceeded 50 billion dollars, the same year.
