ANKARA - National Security Council (NSC) convened under the chairmanship of Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer on Monday.
NSC members discussed results of presidential election in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) as well as domestic migration and energy issue.
NSC Secretariat General stated, ''NSC members took up results of presidential election which was held in the TRNC on April 17th, and future policies of Turkey in Cyprus issue.''
''Reasons of intense domestic migration in recent years and its impacts in urbans as well as implementation of measures to solve these problems rapidly were discussed in the meeting,'' added Secretariat.
''NSC members assessed energy security, the condition and potential of energy sector, energy planning for next period, investment needs and activities of restructuring in this sector in Turkey within the scope of valid scales regarding usage and security of world energy sources,'' said Secretariat.
