Turkey Raises More Than U.S.D. 1 Billion Through Exports Of Hazelnuts

TRABZON - Turkey exported 142,443 tons of hazelnuts and earned 1,034,974,688 U.S. dollars in the 32nd week of 2004-2005 hazelnut export season which started on September 1, 2004.
According to the data released by Black Sea Hazelnut & Products Exporters' Association, Turkey actually exporting hazelnuts to 80 countries.
Turkey exported 116,777 tons of hazelnuts to the European Union (EU), 14,556 tons of hazelnuts to other European countries, 6,801 tons of hazelnuts to overseas countries and 4,309 tons of hazelnuts to other countries.
In the same period of the previous export season, Turkey had exported 165,480 tons of hazelnuts and gained an income of 613,200,506 U.S. dollars.
