AKSARAY - Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Sami Guclu has remarked today (Saturday) that he held discussion with three European Union (EU) commissioners on poultry and fishery in the Mediterranean and Black Sea.
''The EU will provide immense amounts of financial assistance for the development of Turkish agriculture. With such grants, we will contribute to the development of Turkish agriculture,'' he said.
In an exclusive interview with the AA, Guclu stressed that the most important thing during entry talks with the EU will be agriculture.
''Certainly, there exist some differences between Turkish regulations and European ones in the field of agriculture. However, we will eradicate such differences within 10-12 years,'' Guclu added.
