Talks On Draft Letter Of Intent Completed Today, Babacan Says

ANKARA - Talks held between Turkey and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on updating the draft letter of intent have been completed today, Turkish State Minister Ali Babacan said on Tuesday.
Babacan told a press conference that technical details of the draft letter of intent were discussed during talks with the IMF delegation and recent developments regarding structural reforms had been reflected on the draft.
The draft was given its final shape in line with new economic figures, Babacan stated.
Babacan said, ''thus, we have ended an important stage regarding the new stand-by arrangement.''
The new stand-by arrangement was expected to be taken up by the IMF Executive Board in the first half of May, Babacan added.
