ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that the sensitivity of the Turkish people is of utmost importance. ''Every one has an obligation to tune his/her attitude by seriously paying attention to demands from the Turkish society.''
Erdogan talked to press corps prior to his departure from Ankara's Esenboga Airport to attend the late Pope John Paul II.
In reference to the Turkish economy, Erdogan stressed that the performance, new hopes and happiness in the Turkish commercial sector is a matter of joy for all Turks.
The present economic scene is one that we have been striving for decades, said Erdogan.
''We know that we are on the right track. There is no single point in Turkey where the people will tolerate negative sentiments on national issues. We are very firmly working in preserving this atmosphere of peace and stability. Of course, there could be certain circles who are trying to de-stabilize Turkey. Turkey is a state of justice and has a solid judicial system. We have feelings of love for everyone and hatred for none! The red and white flag of Turkey is our symbol of national honor and eternal brotherhood. We are very happy to be Turks. The values of freedom and democracy are ones that we pay extremely high attention to. These values can not be compromised, not now not ever...'' remarked Erdogan.
