SOFIA - Justice & Development Party (AKP) deputy leader Saban Sisli said on Wednesday that Turkey supported Bulgaria's membership to NATO, adding that Turkey expected Bulgaria's support to Turkey's membership to EU.
AKP delegation headed by Sisli came to Sofia upon the invitation of Rights and Freedoms Movement (HOH) leader Ahmet Dogan. HOH's members are mainly composed of people of Turkish origin.
Speaking in a news conference after their meeting, Saban Disli and Ahmet Dogan said that the aim of the visit was to improve dialogue among the political parties.
Disli also said in his part that Turkey wanted to benefit from Bulgaria's experiences in its EU membership process.
