ANKARA - Turkish Red Crescent will construct permanent homes in Aceh region of Indonesia which was hit by tsunami disaster in December of 2004.
Under a memorandum of understanding signed by the Turkish Red Crescent and Aceh Municipality, the construction of 500 houses and some other buildings is expected to be completed within four months.
This project will solve accommodation problem of about 7,500 tsunami survivors.
According to this memorandum, Turkish Red Crescent will build three schools in Lhokgna and Peukan Bada areas.
Also, a community center will be built to extend social service for the tsunami survivors.
