16 Dead In Afghan Helicopter Crash

WASHINGTON - US military officials confirmed to KUNA that 16 people died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan on Wednesday, up from the previous figure of 9 dead. According to US Central Command, eighteen people, including crew members and passengers were listed on the flight and two remain unaccounted for.
This is the deadliest air crash for the US military in Afghanistan since 2001, when the US launched war. Recovery operation have ended for the night due to darkness and weather conditions, said the US military in a statement.
