Erdogan to attend Pope John Paul's funeral

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to Rome, Friday, April 8, for the funeral of Pope John Paul II. The PM will travel with State Minister Mehmet Aydin, Justice and Development Party (AKP) parliamentarians Irfan Gunduz and Akif Gulle, and Erdogan's Foreign Policy Advisor Egemen Bagis.
The group will represent Turkey by attending the funeral which will be held in Vatican city. Erdogan will leave for Rome on a private plane Friday morning and return hours after the funeral.
