Two blasts heard in central Baghdad

BAGHDAD - Two explosions were heard in central Baghdad Wednesday after the Iraqi parliament elected Kurdish leader Jalal Talabani president, an AFP reporter said.
The source of the blasts was not clear. Insurgents often lob mortars at the highly fortified Green Zone in central Baghdad where the Iraqi parliament was meeting although such attacks have rarely caused casualties.
