EU ambassador to Cyprus urges Ankara to recognize Greek-Cypriot ships

The European Union's ambassador to the Greek Cypriot administration, Adrian Van Der Meer, said at the weekend that Turkey may face pressure at the next Turkish-EU Partnership Council meeting to allow Greek-Cypriot flagged ships to enter its ports.
Brussels has repeatedly warned Ankara with regards to the EU protocol, that although having signed is still refusing to comply with full provisions in the agreement by not recognizing Cyprus.
Van Der Meer added that should Turkey not fulfill it's responsibilities under taken by the signing of the agreement that the EU would be forced to report turkey to the World Trade Organization.
