Looted Turkish Businesses In Kyrgyzstan Will Be Re-Opened Soon

BISHKEK - Turkish Ambassadress to Kyrgyzstan Serpil Alpman said on Tuesday that business places owned by Turkish citizens, which were looted during the recent civil uprising, would be re-opened soon.
Aslan Aslan, a Turkish businessmen whose two stores in Bishkek were looted, re-opened one of his businesses, it was learned.
A wave of protests in Kyrgyzstan led to the ouster of President Askar Akayev on March 24th. Demonstrators stormed and ransacked the presidential palace, forcing the president and his family fleeing. Akayev resurfaced in Russia several days later.
