NUMBER OF ANAP MPS INCREASE TO 10 IN THE PARLIAMENT
HURRIYET- The Motherland Party (ANAP) increased its number of parliamentarians in the Parliament to 10 after joining of four other parliamentarians to the party on Friday.
ANAP will hold its extraordinary convention today (Saturday).
ANAP will elect its new leader on the first day of the convention.
Erkan Mumcu, former Culture & Tourism Minister of Turkey, will face no rival in the election.
BRITAIN TO USE INCIRLIK
HURRIYET- Ankara has not yet given a reply to the request of the United States to use Incirlik Base comprehensively.
However, Britain will transfer its soldiers in Iraq via Incirlik.
Meanwhile, it was revealed that NATO allies Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, and Bulgaria used Sabiha Gokcen and Esenboga Airports.
25 SOUTH KOREAN CEO DUE IN TURKEY
MILLIYET- 25 CEO who manage biggest companies of South Korea will visit Turkey on April 14th. Turkey-South Korea relations which gained momentum after visit of Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan to that country will further increase with the visit of South Korean CEOs. These 25 CEOs can make decisions which will yield results rapidly regarding investments in Turkey.
SENER: ''WE WILL THINK ABOUT RE-SUBMISSION OF THE LAW''
MILLIYET- Turkish Deputy Premier Abdullatif Sener replied as ''Europe'' to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer who vetoed the law envisages selling more than 50 percent of Turkish broadcast organizations to foreign capital. Sener said, ''the law meets the needs of Turkey. For us, EU implementations are important. Selling of broadcast organizations is unlimited in all EU countries. We will think about re-submission of the law without change or find another formula.''
APRIL 23 EXPECTATION
SABAH- Armenians expect Turkey to make a gesture one day before the ''Genocide Day'' and open the border.
Armenia, which fights with poverty, believes that free movement will help development of both countries, and also has the belief that particularly Turkey will make a gesture on April 23rd and open the borders.
ERDOGAN: EARLY ELECTIONS MEANS TREASON TO COUNTRY
SABAH- Replying to discussions of early elections, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said mentioning early elections now meant treason to the country.
Responding to questions of journalists asking if the positive developments in economy could be harmed due to early elections, Erdogan said that ''using the expression of early election now means treason to this country. The most important thing for stability in economy is trust and stability...In periods when there were multi-party coalitions in power, Turkey could not develop well. The country recorded progress when one-party came to power. There is no meaning in bringing onto agenda early elections when there is stability and trust in the country and when there is no need for early elections. Early elections can not be in question.''
HURTFUL CONFESSION FROM SECURITY DEPARTMENT
CUMHURIYET- Security Department Intelligence Office Director Recep Guven confessed that security is unsuccessful in fight against organized crimes. Guven said, ''as nobody was sentenced under this crime so far, I cannot help thinking where we did wrong.'' Guven also suggested security and media world to cooperate in mafia serial films.
BAD TEST AT PARLIAMENT
CUMHURIYET- Many officials of politics and jurisdiction, who considered new Turkish Penal Code (TCK) as 'revolution' during debates at Parliament, changed their attitude upon increase in objections. Justice & Development Party (AKP) government which focused on adultery arrangement could not notice many problematic articles of the code.
EXPORT TAKES WINGS IN LAST THREE MONTHS
RADIKAL- Turkey's export rate in March increased 25.31 percent and exceeded 6.6 billion USD. Export rate in the last three months grew 26.21 percent and exceeded 17.3 billion USD. Annual export amount is 67.6 billion USD.
ANAP REACHES 10, MUMCU TO BE ELECTED
RADIKAL- Motherland Party (ANAP) which reached 10 seats at Parliament with joining of 4 new deputies will hold a congress today as the third biggest party of the parliament.
EXPORTS FIGURES AGAIN PLEASING
TURKIYE- Exports from Turkey rose by 25 percent and reached 6.6 billion USD.
Oguz Satici, the Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), said Turkey earned 6.6 billion USD from exports in March 2005.
Satici told a press conference that exports from Turkey rose by 25.3 percent in March of 2005 when compared with March of 2004.
According to information given in the press conference, exports from Turkey increased by 26.2 percent, and reached 17.3 billion USD in the first three months of 2005, over to the same period of 2004.
SNOW SURPRISE IN APRIL
TURKIYE- Heavy snow on the first day of April paralyzed daily life throughout Turkey. Heavy snow was influential in Central Anatolian, Black Sea, and Eastern Anatolia regions. Most of the village roads were closed to traffic.
Meteorology officials said snow will continue for a few days.
ERDOGAN: ''RUMORS OF EARLY ELECTIONS MEAN TREASON TO COUNTRY''
ZAMAN- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan strongly reacted to rumors of early elections which increased upon resignations of parliamentarians.
Erdogan said mentioning early elections now meant treason to the country.

YENI SAFAK- Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the Chairman of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), reacted to the rumors for early elections, and said, ''there is no bottleneck in politics. Stability in economy is in parallel with this.''
Hisarciklioglu said there was a strong ruling and strong opposition in Turkey.
KAHVECI WITHDRAWS HIS CANDIDACY FOR ANAP LEADERSHIP
YENI SAFAK- Niyazi Kahveci said that he would not run for the Motherland Party (ANAP) leadership in the upcoming fourth extraordinary convention of the party.
The two-day convention will take place in Ankara on Saturday.
