ANKARA - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will pay an official visit to Norway between April 11th-12th.
Erdogan who will leave for Oslo on Monday, April 11th will firstly meet Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik.
After political consultations between Turkish and Norwegian delegations, a joint news conference will be held.
On the second day of his visit, Erdogan will address Nobel Institute and leave for Turkey the same evening.
Issues of Iraq, South Caucasus, European Security Protocol, Cyprus, cooperation in hydroelectric energy, Norwegian investments in Turkey and vessel building will be taken up during Erdogan's meetings in Norway.
Diplomatic sources said that Norway which rejected twice the EU membership, supported EU enlargement and in that regard it would extend support to Turkey's EU bid.
Norway also wants to undertake a project in eastern Kars, Igdir and Ardahan cities of Turkey aiming cooperation of these cities with Southern Caucasian countries particularly with Georgia and Azerbaijan in issues like exchange of students and fishery.
Norway has also approved EU's list of terrorist organizations including PKK-KADEK. Sources said Norwegian officials can also ask Prime Minister Erdogan to contribute to Israeli-Palestinian peace.
The previous visit at prime ministerial level from Turkey to Norway was paid by then Turkish prime minister Bulent Ecevit in 2000.
