ANKARA - A Greek coast guard boat violated Turkish territorial waters around Kardak Islets yesterday (Wednesday), Turkish General Staff said on Thursday.
The General Staff noted that the Turkish coast guard boat which went to the spot warned the Greek boat, and stated, ''our boat behaved moderately and controlled the area without any actual intervention until the Greek boat left the area.''
After the Greek boat sailed towards Kelemez island, Turkish coast guard boat left the area, the General Staff added.
On the other hand, the General Staff said that Turkish jets were harassed last Monday (March 28th) by Greek jets during their routine training flights in the international air space over the Aegean Sea, claiming that Turkish jets violated the FIR.
The General Staff added, ''as it is known, planes of one country do not have to fill a flight plan for their flights in international air space under international agreements.''
