JERUSALEM - Two Palestinians from the Islamist movement Hamas were each handed seven life sentences on Thursday after being convicted of plotting a 2003 suicide attack in Jerusalem that killed seven people.
The court found Ahmed Obeid and Nael Obeid, from east Jerusalem, guilty of "seven murders" by preparing the attack on a cafe and acting as a guide to the suicide bomber.
The court ruled the two men were no less responsible than if they had detonated the bomb themselves.
"As long as you continue to kill our children, we will continue to kill yours," one of the convicts shouted to the court.
