Five Parliamentarians Join S.H.P.

ANKARA - Five parliamentarians who resigned from Republican People's Party (CHP) joined Social Democrat People's Party (SHP) on Tuesday.
Parliamentarians Ahmet Guryuz Ketenci, Hakki Akalin, Ersoy Bulut, Zuheyir Amber and Mustafa Sayar resigned from CHP on Monday.
SHP leader Murat Karayalcin said, ''this is not a transfer. Our parliamentarians have brought democratic legitimacy to the Turkish parliament with their decision.''
''Legal legitimacy of structuring of the parliament in recent general elections is uncontroversial, but it is not possible to say it has democratic legitimacy. Two parties which received the votes of half of the people formed the parliament,'' said Karayalcin.
Karayalcin noted, ''real representative of the left is SHP. The financial assistance which we will receive from the Treasury will be used for party lobbying and congress but for people.''
After five parliamentarians joined SHP, the distribution of seats in the parliament is as follows:
