Irbil - Suspected terrorists planted a bomb in a car which exploded this morning in the city of Kirkuk north of Iraq. The explosion injured eight Iraqis and caused extensive material damages to cars and buildings, Kirkuk police sources said Tuesday.
The sources added that the explosion in the Kurdish Rihyamawa village in Kirkuk targeted the Kirkuk municipal chief, who escaped unharmed.
American and Iraqi troops sealed off the area and began an immediate search for the culprits.
