WASHINGTON - The International Monetary Fund Monday named Saleh Nsouli as the new director of its operations in Europe.
Nsouli, a US national who is currently deputy director of the IMF's Middle East and Central Asia department, is replacing Denmark's Flemming Larsen in the post.
Nsouli will manage the IMF's main European office in Paris and branches in Brussels and Geneva.
The offices serve as the IMF's link to public bodies such as the European Union and to non governmental organizations.
