ANKARA - Muharrem Dogan, an independent parliamentarian from southeastern city of Mardin, joined the Motherland Party (ANAP) on Monday.
Dogan said that he had resigned from Republican People's Party (CHP) due to anti-democratic implementations within the party, adding that CHP cannot use the advantage of being single opposition party.
Criticizing implementations of government in economy and foreign politics, Dogan said that a new, pluralist and modern politics is necessary.
After Dogan joined ANAP, the number of political parties represented in the parliament is as follows:
