PINELLAS PARK, Florida - A US state judge Saturday rejected a last-ditch effort to save Terri Schiavo that had claimed the severely brain-damaged woman had tried to say she wanted to live, clearing the way for her to die as her husband says she would have wanted.
Judge George Greer said Schiavo`s parents had failed to offer a valid reason to change his decision and did not offer the new evidence in a timely fashion as required.
"Based on the respondents` request for relief, this court does not find that a colorable entitlement to relief has been established," Greer wrote.
