ANKARA - ''Turkish Foreign Ministry has been closely following the incidents in Kyrgyzstan from the beginning. There is no problem as far as Turkish citizens in Kyrgyzstan are concerned,'' said Turkish Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul.
Speaking to reporters about recent developments in Kyrgyzstan, Gul said, ''I have informed by Turkish Ambassador in that country. All necessary measures were taken. Most of those who are involved in the events are former prime minister, ministers and politicians. These people are friends of Turkey. Kyrgyz parliament convened and determined officials of interim administration. This is a positive development.''
Gul said, ''a private plane carrying Turkish Foreign Ministry delegation has just left for Kyrgyzstan. Several Turkish families in Kyrgyzstan who want to return to Turkey will also be brought back to Turkey.''
''It is important to settle peace and stability in Kyrgyzstan, and democracy is a must for this. I hope security and peace will be restored in that country soon,'' added Gul.
Gul noted that Turkey is ready to provide every type of assistance to Kyrgyz people.
