ANKARA - Republican People's Party (CHP) Disciplinary Board decided to expel Sisli Mayor Mustafa Sarigul from the party on Friday.
The decision was taken unanimously, said officials.
Sarigul was expelled from the party in line with CHP regulation's articles on 'offenses of members'.
Sarigul was transferred to CHP Disciplinary Board on November 11th, 2004 upon corruption claims. Expel request was rejected in the meeting of the Board on January 3rd, 2005. Following this decision, an extraordinary congress was held upon call of CHP leader Deniz Baykal and he was re-elected the CHP leader.
