US soldier killed, three wounded in Iraq roadside bomb attack

BAGHDAD - A US soldier was killed and three others wounded when a roadside bomb hit their patrol Sunday in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, the US military said.
The attack happened at about 10:30 am (0730 GMT), said a military statement without giving further details.
Three Iraqi policemen were killed and seven wounded in ethnically-tense Kirkuk Saturday.
The US death raised to 1,510 the number of soldiers and military personnel killed in Iraq since the US invasion two years ago, according to an estimate based on the latest tally from the Pentagon.
