Egyptian suicide bomber carried out Doha attack: Al-Jazeera

DOHA - An Egyptian suicide bomber carried out the car bomb attack which killed a Briton in Doha Saturday, the Qatari interior ministry said Sunday, quoted by Al-Jazeera TV.
"The perpetrator of the suicide operation was the Egyptian owner of the (booby-trapped) car, Omar Ahmad Abdullah Ali," Al-Jazeera said in a flash on its screen.
It was the first confirmation by the interior ministry that the car bomb was detonated by a suicide attacker.
The bombing occurred late Saturday at the entrance to a theater affiliated to a British school in the Qatari capital, killing a British national and wounding 12 people.
