Two dead as Canadair plane crashes into building in Italy

ROME - An Italian Canadair fire-fighting aircraft crashed into a building near the coast of Tuscany while fighting a blaze, killing the pilot and co-pilot on board, the ANSA news agency reported.
Witnesses said the seaplane appeared to be in difficulty, trying to land at sea when it caught fire and crashed near Forte dei Marmi, a resort about 300 kilometres (190 miles) northwest of Rome.
The plane had left Rome`s Ciampino airport in the afternoon to help local firefighters damp down a blaze.
