ANKARA - Turkish Parliament on Tuesday approved student pardon law which allows the university students who were banned or suspended from their schools to resume their education.
Turkish President Ahmet Necdet Sezer earlier vetoed and returned the law for reconsideration at the Turkish parliament.
President Sezer had said that the law is within the purview of pardon, thus it has to be adopted at parliament with majority.
According to the Constitution President Sezer has to approve the law within 15 days.
Sezer does not have the right to return the law once again but if he considers as necessary, may apply to the Constitutional Court for annulment of the law.
