BAGHDAD - Three car bombs exploded Tuesday in the Iraqi capital, wounding 11 people, an interior ministry source said.
One car bomb blew up in a parking lot of a state hospital near Adilah Khatoun mosque in Baghdad's mainly Sunni Muslim area of Bab al-Moazam area, wounding at least four people, the source told AFP.
Two other car bombs also exploded in western Baghdad near the city's airport, wounding seven people, three of them policemen, the source added.
Two of the capital's main bridges in the centre were closed Tuesday as part of tighter security measures one day before the newly-elected parliament was scheduled to meet inside the fortified "Green Zone".
A massive truck bomb attack in Baghdad last Wednesday against a hotel killed four people and wounded 40, including 30 US contractors.
