SAINT PETERSBURG - At least 187 people, mostly homeless, have died from the cold here since December, but the final toll is feared to be much higher, a support group said Tuesday.
"It's only the tip of the iceberg, in reality there are more," said Maxime Egorov director of the group Nochlejka, which aids the homeless in Saint Petersberg.
There are between 7,000 and 12,000 homeless people in this city of five million inhabitants.
