Death toll in Wisconsin shooting rises to eight

WASHINGTON - The death toll from a shooting in the northern US city of Brookfield, Wisconsin, went up to eight late Saturday, as three more people succumbed to their wounds on the way to hospital, a police official said.
The tragedy unfolded in the early afternoon when a lone gunman opened fire at a religious service being held at the local Sheraton Hotel, killing at least four people before turning the weapon on himself.
Seven people were also wounded, police spokeswoman Gene Purno, told AFP, but three of them died after being taken to Froedtert Hospital in the neighboring community of Wauwatosa.
