ANKARA - Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit against Selcuk Demiralp, former undersecretary of the Treasury, on charges of abusing power, sources told the A.A on Friday.
The indictment said that Demiralp caused Egebank, which was earlier transferred to the Savings Deposits Insurance Fund, to suffer a financial loss by failing to lift authorities of members of the Executive Board.
If convicted, Demiralp can face an imprisonment term between 3 months to a year.
Supreme Court of Appeals Criminal Department no: 4 will start hearing the case of Demiralp in the coming days.
