The time has justified that judgment. U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Eric Edelman seems to be very busy with torpedoing Turkish-American relations. Everyday, American newspapers give place to accusations against Turkish press... Furthermore, they use baseless, utterly nonsensical metaphors!.. Lately, a Washington newspaper said, 'some Turkish writers are like bin Laden'. Isn't it an accusation against those who write anti-American articles?''.
Dogan recalled that those names, which were mentioned in (American) newspapers, were not journalists, adding, ''I want to ask whether those names can represent Turkish press? Do American columnists have appropriate information about them? Who gave those names to Washington? If Edelman is not responsible for this, then who is responsible?..''
