LONDON - British Prime Minister Tony Blair Wednesday rejected a demand for a further concession over his government's controversial anti-terrorism bill after a partial climbdown by interior minister Charles Clarke.
Blair rejected demands from the main opposition Conservative party for a "sunset clause," which would see the bill expire November 30, adding it was vital to send a "clear signal" that the legislation was there to stay.
