BELFAST - Police in Northern Ireland said they had arrested a man Wednesday in connection with the murder of Robert McCartney, a Catholic man killed outside a Belfast bar by suspected IRA members.
McCartney's killing on January 30 has stirred protest against the outlawed Catholic paramilitary Irish Republican Army in the British-controlled province.
The IRA on Tuesday had offered to shoot those responsible for the murder.
