EU MINISTER AND CHIEF NEGOTIATOR EGEMEN BAGIS: “POSITIVE AGENDA TO HELP REMOVING OBSTACLES”

Turkey's EU Minister Egemen Bagis said that "positive agenda" was a bridge to remove obstacles before Turkey's EU membership talks.

Turkey will have direct relation with EU Commission during Greek Cypriot administration's EU presidency term thanks to "positive agenda", added Bagis who spoke to Kanal 7 TV channel on Sunday.


Positive agenda will take action during Greek Cypriot administration's presidency, said Bagis.
Noting that EU also saw Turkey's influence and efficiency in the Middle East, Caucasus, Balkans and Central Asia, Bagis said that a Europe without Turkey would be very lonely.

Bagis said that so far 13 of 33 chapter headings had been opened to negotiations with Turkey.

CTP-BG IS ATTENDING TO TSIMC MEETING

CTP-BG (Republican Turkish Party – United Forces) is attending to the meeting of The Socialist International Mediterranean Committee in the capital city of Spain, Madrid. According to the CTP-BG Press Office a delegation will participate in the meeting which Socialist Labor Party of Spain will be the host.

EP WARNS SOUTH CYPRUS

European Commission has sent a clear message to the Greek Cypriot government on the instability in the Greek Cypriot economy. Indicating that if not overcome this instability will increase, and they added that this shall lead to a special action plan to be presented by the Greek Cypriot administration.

Vice-President of European Commission Olli Rehn’s Spokesperson Altafaj Tardio made an interview with Greek Cypriot daily Fileleftheros and stated that the Greek Cypriot administration should undertake the activities in order to implement 7 proposals of Brussel.

The newspaper drew attention that this warning criticized that Greek Cypriot administration delayed to take measures and it coincides to a period that leader of Greek Cypriot administration Christofias stated that in case of increasing of public deficit, the world will not go upside down.

THREAT FROM SOUTH CYPRUS TO FRENCH AVIATION CLUB

It was stated that French Aviation Club who arrived at the TRNC from South Cyprus, Larnaca Airport was threatened by a company which gives service at Larnaca Airport.

The Aviation Club departed from France in order to go to Beirut and then they arrived at the TRNC which they chose as a stop over.

As a result of their former meetings with French Cultural Center, members of French Aviation Club decided to realize one day visit to the TRNC. When they arrived at the TRNC, they took threat messages from South. It was written in the SMS of Club members ‘ If we knew that you would stay one night in the TRNC, we would not accept to give you service at the airport’.

Moreover, it was stated that club members took the second SMS message ‘Starting from now, we are in doubt to give you service or not’.
