During the meeting, President Abdullah Gül expressed Turkey’s demands from the USA regarding the fight against terrorism.

The Gül-Obama meeting lasted around a half an hour.

Turkish President Abdullah Gül told Barack Obama whom he met during the NATO Summit in Chicago that Turkey expects the US to meet its demands on the fight against terrorism.

Gül told Obama that especially the sale of armed unmanned aircrafts has been left unconcluded.

Some diplomatic sources say Obama told Gül that we understand your need. This matter is also on our agenda but it’s not a thing I can accomplish alone. We are approaching Congress.”
