WASHINGTON - Turkish National Education Minister Huseyin Celik met on Monday U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Patricia Harrison.
Celik also met Laura Kennedy, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs.
After attending a lunch hosted by Harrison, Celik met Thomas Farrell and Thomas Haran, the Deputy Assistant Secretaries for Academic Programs.
Celik will proceed to Florida on Tuesday after completing his contacts in Washington. He will meet Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
Celik will later visit vocational schools and several universities in Tallahassee and Miami.
Celik is expected to return to Turkey on March 12th.
