ALANYA - Security forces confiscated 120 bottles of bootleg raki in Alanya town of southern city of Antalya, sources told the A.A on Sunday.
A total of 16 people including three women died in Istanbul and the other cities after drinking illegally produced raki, a popular anise-flavored drink in Turkey.
Police over the past few days have raided underground distilleries in Istanbul and other cities, confiscating thousands of bottles of illegally produced raki, apparently made using methyl alcohol.
