WASHINGTON D.C. - Turkish National Education Minister Huseyin Celik arrived in Washington D.C., the United States, late on Saturday upon invitation of the U.S. Education Department.
Celik will meet Turkish students later on Sunday.
On Monday, Celik is scheduled to meet U.S. State Department Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Laura Kennedy.
He will also hold talks with U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spelling.
Celik will visit Florida between March 8th and 12th, and meet Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
Turkish Ministry of National Education Deputy Director General for Foreign Affairs Ibrahim Ozdemir is accompanying Celik.
Celik is expected to return to Turkey on March 12th.
