Prime Minister Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan who proceeded to Iran after attending the Nuclear Security summit in South Korea has met Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad.

The major subjects taken up at the two leaders’ meeting held in the Sadabad Palace were Syria and Iran’s nuclear programme.

Prime Minister ErdoÄŸan explained to the Iranian President in no unclear terms Turkey’s view of the incidents of violence in Syria.

ErdoÄŸan also discussed with Ahmedinejad the decisions taken at the nuclear summit in Seoul.

Iran’s nuclear activities and the negotiations’ time-table were also taken up by the two leaders.

Among those the leaders exchanged ideas on were also the fight against terrorism and some regional issues.

ErdoÄŸan said before the meeting with the Iranian President that making any statements would be inappropriate without the completion of the meeting.

Prime Minister ErdoÄŸan will last meet Iran’s religious leader Khameni before returning home with the delegation accompanying him.
