Syria to start troops pullback in Lebanon after Monday meeting

BEIRUT - Lebanon's outgoing Defense Minister Abdel Rahim Mrad said Sunday that Syria will start a much-awaited pullback of troops in Lebanon after a Lebanese-Syrian summit due in Damascus on Monday.
The pullback into the eastern Bekaa valley will start after the meeting of the Lebanese-Syrian Supreme Council on Monday, Mrad told reporters after a meeting of pro-Syrian groups in Lebanon.
