WASHINGTON - A moderate earthquake shook the Canadian province of Quebec early Sunday, US scientists reported. There was no immediate word of casualties or damage.
The US Geological Survey said the tremor, which measured 5.4 on the Richter scale, occurred at 1:17 am (0617 GMT). Its epicenter located on the Gaspe Peninsula, about 150 kilometers (95 miles) northeast of Quebec City.
