CAPE TOWN - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Saturday, ''the person who will be appointed as chief negotiator to carry out negotiations between Turkey and the EU should have political and economic experiences.''
Prime Minister Erdogan met a group of columnists and journalists at the breakfast on the last day of his five-day tour of Ethiopia and South Africa.
Upon a question, Prime Minister Erdogan said, ''the person who will be appointed as chief negotiator should have political and economic experiences. The chief negotiator will cooperate with all state institutions and non-governmental organizations.''
Replying to a question about the recent tension between the United States and Iran, Prime Minister Erdogan said that the tension would not cause any difficulties to Turkey.
