ROME - Italy's Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said Friday his government had summoned Washington's ambassador to Rome to explain the wounding by US forces of freed hostage Giuliana Sgrena and the killing of a member of her Italian escort in Iraq.
There are "disquieting questions" that needed to be answered about the incident, said Berlusconi, a staunch ally of US President George W. Bush.
