Search-and-rescue Teams Recovered Bodies Of Two Pilots

ANKARA - Turkish Air Forces Command said on Friday that search-and-rescue teams recovered bodies of pilots of the military plane which went missing over northern city of Karabuk yesterday.
Releasing a statement, the Air Forces Command said, ''the F-16D plane, which had two pilots on board, disappeared from radar screens in a mountainous region, 15 km south of Karabuk, shortly after taking off from the Fourth Air Jet Command in central city of Eskisehir due to an unknown technical failure.''
''Although bad weather conditions hampered search-and-rescue efforts, the wreckage of the plane was found in Dedeyaylasi Caltepe region, and bodies of two pilots were recovered,'' the Command added.
