BURSA - Security forces confiscated 816 bottles of bootleg raki, which were left near a graveyard in Yildirim town of northwestern city of Bursa, sources told the A.A on Friday.
A total of 12 people including three women died in Istanbul and Bursa after drinking illegally produced raki, a popular anise-flavored drink.
Police over the past two days have raided underground distilleries in Istanbul and other cities, confiscating thousands of bottles of illegally produced raki, apparently made using methyl alcohol.
