Turkey Is Not Slow In Taking Action For E.U. Membership

AMSTERDAM - Turkish State Minister Mehmet Aydin said on Thursday that views and press reports that Turkey was slow in taking action for European Union (EU) membership after it won a date from the Union on December 17th, 2004 (to start entry talks on October 3rd, 2005), were not accurate.
Speaking in a meeting held in Dutch capital of Amsterdam, Aydin said that Turkey was working more rapidly to become an EU member after December 17th.
Aydin stressed that Turkey's EU membership was a global bid concerning not only Turkey but also all the world.
After the meeting, Aydin left for Cologne, Germany.
