Kenan SofuoÄŸlu backs to Supersport tracks with victory after a 1.5 years interval.

By wining the season’s first race in The World Supersport Championship, the young pilot gained his 18th victory.

SofuoÄŸlu, the winner of double-championships in 2007 and 2010, started the Supersport Championship race from the 4th place.

Gaining the lead from French Fore in the 11th lap, SofuoÄŸlu saw the checkered flag in the first place and won his 18th victory in The World Supersoft Championship.

SofuoÄŸlu took the first place with 25 points in the general classification following the first leg competed in Australia.

Requesting the Turkish national anthem to be played at the award ceremony, Sofuoğlu said, “After the bad season I lived at the Moto2, I needed such a victory. I am so happy that I won the first race of the season.”
